3mE Design Challenge
Freshmen at the faculty of Applied Mechanics face many challenges. To inform them about the new hurdles they have to take, the faculty has found its way to Skopei Digital for an infomercial. Based on the experiences freshmen gain through their first year at the faculty, they are put in groups to compete in a true engineering competition. Every year, the faculty creates new challenges these engineers-to-be need to overcome. Wheelless vehicles, beer-delivery robots, walking beer crates and more have passed by over the last years. This year's challenge is to design and build an automated baseball pitcher. Based on the CDIO-principle - conceive, design, implement and operate - the students analyse the problems, design a solution, build it, and finally test it. See the results of last year's challenge below!
