International Festival of Technology

For the third year in a row, the TU Delft has put its trust in Skopei Digital to develop the website for the International Festival of Technology. This time putting Skopei Digital's holistic skill set to use by also creating a promo video and an aftermovie.

It was a spectacular amalgamation of technology, art, food, and music! Right at the heart of it all, the TU Delft. Skopei Digital has made a exciting and fresh website, commercial, and aftermovie that boldly reflect the festival's philosophy.

A major challenge for the team was to create a detailed and comprehensive schedule system that is simple to navigate for the end-user but also easy to fill in by the organiser. Moreover, the team strived to make sure this system worked perfectly smooth on all platforms. This was more relevant than ever, as there would be no print-out of the schedule. We went full digital!

intersection of technology, music and art

The International Festival of Technology is not an ordinary festival. While it does present the typical aspects of a festival such as music and art, technology is the foundation of this festival. The challenge for us was to have the website and videos show that IFOT sits at the intersection of technology, music and art, with technology being the most important of the three. That's why we went for a simplistic and futuristic, yet stylish overall feel, complimenting the technology aspect of the festival while including the music and art aspects too.

Promotional Video

This year, the theme of the festival was 'Boost Your Senses'. The festival aimed to have their visitors be overwhelmed by stimuli that would trigger their senses. In the video we made, we play around with this concept.

art & science

“The difference between science and the arts is not that they are different sides of the same coin, or even different parts of the same continuum, but rather, they are manifestations of the same thing. The arts and sciences are avatars of human creativity.”
